Deightfully textured drop earrings with a tactile pattern of silver squares punctuated by tiny gold leaves.
These one of a kind earrings have been entirely hand fabricated (including each and every tiny silver square) from solid silver and 23.5ct gold foil. Processes include sawing the shapes, rolling the pieces to give texture using a rolling mill, soldering, oxidising, and using the process of Keum Boo to apply the gold foil.
The patterns and textures are inspired by walks around my local area, specifically in this case by the cobblestones on Herbert Road. The urban textures and patterns, combined with leafy details often found amongst the hard landscape, provide endless interest and pleasure in our towns and cities, and I love to use these little details in my jewellery.
The earrings measure approx 2cm x 2cm and hang on solid silver ear wires measuring 3cm long. Total length from top of ear wire to bottom of the earrings is 5cm.
The earrings are sent in a bespoke Helen Shere Design gift box.
