A one off brooch hand made in fine silver with gold leaf.
 
Walking around the local neighbourhood in Nottingham has provided the inspiration for the patterns of bricks and leaves on this brooch.
 
Measuring approx 4.5cm x 4.5cm from the top of the pin to the bottom of the brooch. The brooch is made from fine silver with 23.5ct gold foil and oxidised silver patterns. The gold foil has been bonded to the surface of the silver using the techinque of Keum Boo. The patterns have been created by stamping the silver with home made, custom steel stamps to recreate urban textures and leafy details.
